Our Grooming Methods:

We specialize in a stress-free home environment using gentle techniques such as massage to help your dog relax during their grooming session.  Your pet will receive refreshments, treats, along with some playtime, so he or she will come home happy and looking amazing!  We have a backyard, and the dogs love it there.  You can also bring your dog to us for a fun-filled spa and excursion day.  Our groomer, Geoffrey is an artist who won the award for the Intercultural Calendar of Montreal as well as the Governor-General award by Adrianna Clarkson.  He is a master groomer that brings his artistic touch to every dog he grooms. Geoffrey developed his love of grooming dogs with our first Pomeranian, Foxy.  He studied grooming techniques and started giving haircuts to all types of dogs. We offer both classic and modern styles of dog haircuts such as Asian-styled teddy bear cuts and classic show dog styles to help your dog look their best.  We use organic dog shampoo and natural oils so your dog will smell amazing.  

 

Before your groom:

-We will need to know a little more about your dog and what you are looking for.  Give us a call to tell us a little more about your dog over the phone or through our registration form:

-Try to brush through your dog's fur as much as you can so that it will be easier for your dog and we can spend more time on their haircut. Let us know if there is any matting that needs to be de-matted.  There will be an extra charge of $25 for every 30 minutes of de-matting.  Even if we shave the mats off there will be an extra fee depending on the severity as it takes more time, is more delicate is hard on our tools and dulls our blades quickly.

Grooming:

-A full-groom often takes 3-4 hours or even more if there is de-matting to do.  Some dogs may need a little more time to get accustomed to grooming (ie. with the face or nails) and may take a little more time to groom.  There are many steps to proper grooming, it not like getting a simple haircut.  We do not like to leave a poorly groomed dog, so please allow for extra grooming time.  We will give you a call when your dog is finished, and you will arrive to see your gorgeous, happy dog.

After the Groom:

-Brush your dog's fur at least 2-4 times a week.  You can use a dog conditioning spray, dog dry shampoo or a touch of a natural oil such as argan oil, jojoba or chia seed oil for their fur when you brush them.

-It's a good idea to schedule your next appointment ahead of time for 4-8 weeks later.   This will keep your dog healthy, clean and well maintained and to avoid getting matted.  Mats are uncomfortable and very bad for their skin and fur, please give us a call as soon as they get any mats that you can't brush through.

-Brush your dog's teeth several times a week and feed them a healthy diet that includes lots of vitamins, minerals, protein, probiotics, prebiotics, omega acids etc. to help maintain their coat, teeth, and overall health.

Never give your dog a bath if they have any mats and make sure to brush them well before and after the bath.  Remember to use dog conditioner as well as shampoo and dry them properly if you bathe them at home.  You can also bring them in for a mini groom if they just need a bath and fluff dry or touch up.

$65+  The price varies depending on the complexity of the cut, fur condition, dog size etc.

$50+

*Puppy/sensitive dog fee: $15 may be added if we need to take more time to groom for the dog's comfort

*De-matting fee: $30 per 30 minutes
